Clyde William Tombaugh (February 4, 1906 – January 17, 1997), one of the greatest astronomer of the 20th century, died 17 years ago. These two drawings were made in honour of his memory.

Best regards,

János

  1. Fabulous sketches. I met Mr. Tombaugh in 1995 at New Mexico SU. He has been such an inspiration to me! I still keep a figurine of the Disney character “Pluto” on my shelf, in his honor.
    Good job, Janos!

  2. I did not know anything about Tombaugh.
Google said me he was indeed a great astronomer.
Thank you to uprise his name and honnor his memory.

    Nice sketch, difficult to render.
    Well done.
