NGC 266

Good afternoon fellow Webbies 🙂

I have attached a sketch of delightful barred spiral NGC 266 in Pisces that I made on Saturday night using my 20″ F3.7 reflector. This is the first sketch with the Watec video camera placed at prime focus, a modification designed and engineered by the redoubtable Mr Es Reid.

As helped me set up and collimate the rig and then stayed on for this stunning observation. The tiny companion galaxy that can be seen at 2 O’clock is mag 16.4 PGC 212604.

I hope you like this gem and feel encouraged to take a look yourselves 😉

Clear skies to us all, Dale

  1. Hi Dale,

An impressive deep sky sketching delight. I love those barred spirals.
You have an excellent system for going very deep.
